A newly obtained draft layout is giving the Lake a clearer look at what could replace the Osage Beach Outlet Mall — and it’s shaping up to be more of a destination than a traditional shopping center.
Plans show a Bass Pro Shops anchoring the back of the property, with an entertainment district, two hotels, large retail spaces, and a parking garage near the front. Instead of long outlet rows, the design features smaller walkable retail clusters connected by boulevard-style streets and roundabouts. Some existing structures may also be renovated, and trees along Highway 54 could be cleared to improve visibility.
Nothing is final yet. Developers are expected to share more details at the April 1 TIF Commission public hearing, where community input will be gathered.
